Rasnal at Indian Army TA-2.0 Exhibition Kolkata

The Indian Army Territorial Army is hosting the TA-2.0 Symposium in Kolkata on 27 and 28 August 2026. This national platform brings together the Armed Forces, industry, academia and innovators to shape the future of India’s defence capabilities. Rasnal is proud to participate and showcase its Made-in-India solutions for surge protection, digital grounding, fire suppression and hybrid power at the Future Force Corridor-EXPO.
As a company already trusted by the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force, Rasnal sees this event as an important opportunity to demonstrate how practical, field-ready technology can support the Territorial Army’s transformation.
Why TA-2.0?
India faces an increasingly complex and technology-driven security environment. The TA-2.0 Symposium has been planned to help transform the Territorial Army into a more agile, technology-enabled and future-ready force.
The event will act as a national platform for dialogue on defence innovation, emerging technologies, human capital development, national resilience and civil-military collaboration. Its goal is to generate clear, actionable recommendations for the Territorial Army Vision 2036 while building stronger partnerships between the Armed Forces, government, industry, academia and research institutions.
In short, TA-2.0 is about preparing the “citizen soldier” to meet the demands of modern warfare and national security with better technology and closer industry collaboration.
Objectives of the Symposium
The organisers have set six clear objectives for the two-day event:
- Explore emerging technologies and innovative solutions relevant to military capability enhancement
- Create opportunities for collaboration in skill development, technology adoption and capacity building
- Foster greater awareness of the Territorial Army amongst key national stakeholders
- Generate actionable recommendations for the future transformation of TA 2.0
- Strengthen partnerships with industry, academia and research institutions
- Showcase the Territorial Army’s contribution to national security and nation-building
These objectives directly support the larger vision of building a technology-enabled strategic reserve for the nation.
Four Key Themes
The symposium is structured around four important themes:
- Industry–Military Partnerships in Technology, Innovation and Future Warfare
- Academia, Research and Talent Development
- Emerging Role of TA ECO Task Force in Environment Conservation & Sustainability
- Vision TA 2.0 – TA-2036 Vision Document – Building the Territorial Army of the Future
Together, these themes focus on practical collaboration, new technology adoption, sustainability and a clear roadmap for the Territorial Army over the next decade.

What Rasnal Is Showcasing
At the Future Force Corridor-EXPO, Rasnal will present four core solution lines that directly support the symposium’s themes of technology partnership and next-generation infrastructure:
Digital Grounding Devices (RASNAL-VKP series)
These active systems provide both low-impedance grounding and high-capacity surge protection (up to 240 kA). They create a stable equi-potential environment and protect sensitive electronics from lightning and power surges.
Defence use case: Ideal for communication shelters, radar installations and electronic systems in remote or high-altitude locations.
HAFED – Heat Aerosol Fire Extinguishing Devices
Compact, automatic aerosol systems that activate on heat and suppress fire at the source without depleting oxygen or leaving corrosive residue.
Defence use case: Protects electrical panels, battery banks, server rooms and mobile command posts.
An outdoor-rated unit that combines solar, wind and battery charging with integrated digital earthing and multi-port PoE support. It keeps critical loads running through power cuts and harsh conditions.
Defence use case: Powers remote cameras, radio links and tactical communication nodes in forward areas.
Specialised protectors that shield coaxial lines carrying video, RF and data signals from induced surges.
Defence use case: Safeguards antenna feeds, CCTV runs and radar cabling on towers and mobile platforms.
These solutions are already deployed across demanding defence and critical infrastructure sites in India. They represent practical, Made-in-India technology that supports the Territorial Army’s move towards a more resilient and technology-enabled force.
